The location is unbeatable, steps from La Fontaine Park, great restaurants, and the bars and clubs along St. Catherine. I’ve stayed here three times now, and every visit genuinely feels like coming home. Huge thanks to Maria and Eva for their outstanding hospitality and for making the space feel so welcoming every single time.

The best coliving I stayed at during my nomading years by far!! The owner, Maria, does a wonderful job of keeping a large community very alive and living in harmony. I was so happy to always have around some of the most kind, interesting people from all over the world around me. Noco felt like a place I could both feel appreciated for who I was and also push myself to experience new things and get out of my comfort zone. This isn't just a place to stay, it's a valuable life experience. The rooms are very comfortable and clean so you always have somewhere to retreat to if your social battery is low. The shared living spaces are well organized with a well maintained kitchen, and coworking space. The cooking supplies are really solid and some unbelievable meals were cooked during my time in that house. Finnish food, Mexican, Middle Eastern family dinners were some of my best memories. Montreal is also an awesome city and well worth a visit. One of the few places I've been to and thought, "I could live a full, dynamic but also sane life here". Go with an open heart, engage with the people and community around you and you will make friends for life.

Noco was a fantastic place about 1.5 years ago. Coincidentally, that’s also when new reviews stopped appearing. The community remains full of amazing people who truly make the experience special, as others have mentioned. However, over time, management has steadily diminished what made Noco great. Here are some key issues I encountered: - Lack of Transparency on Responsibilities: Even today, the website does not mention that guests are expected to take on certain responsibilities, such as posting daily on the coliving’s Instagram or handling tasks like snow shoveling and lawn mowing. - Ongoing Internet Problems: We endured months of unreliable internet, to the point where residents had to purchase their own providers and routers. Management only addressed the issue after some people left specifically due to this problem. - Pest Issues Ignored: One summer, we dealt with persistent fly and rat infestations. Despite repeated requests for action, management dismissed our concerns, responding with comments like, "It's normal to have rats in Montreal," and "You guys should be cleaner." Residents eventually resorted to buying their own traps. - Inconsistent Rules and Favoritism: There is no rulebook or contract, meaning rules change arbitrarily. In theory, house policies evolve with the community; in practice, management enforces them selectively. For example, some residents were allowed to host family members for short stays, while others were denied without explanation—aside from "management felt uncomfortable." While I wasn’t personally affected by this, I met people who were. - Concerns for Women’s Safety: Several women I met expressed discomfort due to certain individuals in the community with predatory behavior. Complaints were made to management, yet no action was taken. In some cases, women even switched houses to feel safer. I believe Noco could be a great place again—if management were open to constructive feedback rather than shifting blame onto residents. If you’re only staying for a month, you’ll likely have a good experience and avoid most of these management issues. The people here are truly wonderful, and that’s the main reason you don’t see more negative reviews. Many residents share these concerns but hesitate to speak out, fearing retaliation, as they may eventually return to Montreal and want to reconnect with friends. Edit: I appreciate the response, but I want to clarify a few things. My review is based on nearly two years of firsthand experience, and none of the issues I mentioned were exaggerated. They were not just my personal experiences—many other residents faced the same problems, from persistent internet issues and unresolved pest infestations to inconsistent rule enforcement and safety concerns. The fact that multiple people had to buy their own internet routers or rat traps, or that some women felt unsafe to the point of switching houses, speaks for itself. While I understand that coliving involves collaboration, it’s important to acknowledge that residents are still tenants paying for a service. Expecting transparency, basic maintenance, and fair treatment isn’t about “disrupting the community”—it’s about ensuring a livable space. At the end of the day, no matter how communal the experience is, management still plays the role of a landlord, and that comes with responsibilities. As for my removal from the WhatsApp group, that only reinforces why so many people hesitate to speak up. Whether intentional or not, it sends a clear message that criticism isn’t welcome. Noco has great people, and I sincerely hope management takes feedback constructively rather than dismissing it. My intention isn’t to harm but to provide an honest account of my experience so that future residents can make informed decisions and, ideally, so that the community can improve for everyone.

Spending 10 months at NoCo was such an incredible experience that I couldn’t stay away—I came back three months ago for a second stay. That alone speaks volumes about what Nomad Coliving represents for me. From the very beginning, it felt like more than just a place to live; it became a home away from home. The balance between comfort, smartly designed spaces, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere makes it a truly unique coliving experience. But NoCo is much more than just a home. What truly sets it apart is the community that Maria has so thoughtfully built. She has created a space where people don’t just coexist—they connect and support one another. It’s a rare kind of energy, where meaningful friendships form effortlessly and where you always feel surrounded by people who genuinely care. And, last but not least, can we talk about Winter in Montréal ? The cold and snow aren’t just something to endure—they set the stage for some of the best outdoor activities. Skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, curling, snowshoeing, or simply taking a walk through a snow-covered city—it’s all part of the magic. The best part? You get to share these experiences with an amazing community. Whether it’s a spontaneous ski trip, an evening at an outdoor rink, or warming up together after a day in the cold, NoCo makes winter something to enjoy rather than escape. I can’t recommend NoCo enough. It’s more than an excellent coliving—it’s a space that truly feels like home, filled with incredible people, and a place where you can grow, create, and simply be. I feel incredibly grateful for my time here.

The kitchen is fully stocked (huge bonus if you love cooking), the coworking space is perfect for staying productive, and the backyard is a chill spot to unwind. Plus, the location couldn’t be better—right downtown with easy access to everything. But what really makes NoCo special is the community. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s a place where you actually feel at home. People here genuinely care about each other, and there’s always something going on, whether it’s a group dinner, a casual movie night, or deep convos over coffee. It’s the perfect mix of social and independent, so you can do your own thing but always have good company when you want it. I had an amazing experience living in Noco this summer. There are several reasons why I would rate it five stars: 1. The location is incredibly convenient, situated right downtown and five minutes walking away from the subway station. This made getting around the city a breeze and allowed me to explore easily. 2. The people here are exceptionally warm and welcoming. It felt like a true sense of community. 3. One thing that made my stay even better was the well-equipped kitchen. Having access to all the necessary kitchen supplies made cooking and preparing meals a joy. The coffee machine, in particular, was a lifesaver for me every morning, ensuring I started my day on the right foot. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience this summer. I highly recommend this coliving space to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. It truly made my time here memorable.
