I felt an obligation to post this honest and transparent review so no one else ends up in the unfortunate position we are in. We stayed for an enjoyable 3 months at Surf Vida, the community of tenants were charming, sadly the owner Jessica Roberts is not. Jessica is unpredictable, volatile and unprofessional in the way she speaks to her tenants and the way she conducts her business. When we met at the flat on the 'move out day' in person, Jessica highlighted no issues at this time when we did a walk around together. But then vicious messages and emailed followed, which was very stressful and damaging. Jessica didn’t do an inventory when we moved in but then decided to charge us for whatever she felt like on our departure. We were charged an upfront €50 cleaning deposit, which was not used on cleaning when we left. She then charged us €300 for very minor things. Ericeira is such a great town, with amazing people and awesome community vibes, it makes me very sad when people like Jessica take advantage of others. There are many great places to stay in Ericeira, I wouldn’t advise anyone to take the risk of staying at Surf Vida. I very rarely leave negative reviews, but when something like this happens, I feel a duty to help others avoid.
